At St Peter's, each of our school houses is named after one of the patron saints of the nations of the United Kingdom. These holy men remind us that everyone is called to live with courage, faith, kindness and service. Throughout the year, our pupils learn about the lives of their house saint and are encouraged to follow their example in the classroom, on the playground and in the wider community.

St George

"Be courageous. Stand up for what is right."

St George is the Patron Saint of England and is remembered for his bravery, courage and unwavering faith in God. Although the famous story of the dragon is a legend, it reminds us that with God's help we can overcome challenges and always choose what is right.

St Patrick 

"Share God's love wherever you go."

St Patrick is the Patron Saint of Ireland. He dedicated his life to sharing the Good News and helping others know God's love. He famously used the shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity, showing that even simple things can teach us about our faith.

St David

"Do the little things well."

St David is the Patron Saint of Wales. His famous words, "Do the little things," remind us that kindness, honesty and hard work in everyday life make a big difference. He lived a humble life devoted to prayer, learning and serving others. The daffodil, the national flower of Wales, reminds us to live with humility, hope and joy.

St Andrew House

"Follow Jesus with courage and faith."

St Andrew is the Patron Saint of Scotland and was one of Jesus' first disciples. He responded immediately to Christ's call and spent his life sharing God's message with others. His example reminds us to be faithful, welcoming and ready to help those around us. The Scottish thistle symbolises resilience, courage and the strength to remain faithful even in difficult times.
