Our Vision and Values

Our Vision

At St Peter's, we aspire to be a community where every child flourishes in faith, learning and life. Inspired by Christ and guided by Gospel values, we seek to nurture confident, compassionate and resilient young people who recognise their unique gifts, strive for excellence and use their talents in the service of others. Through a shared commitment to high expectations, strong relationships and a love of learning, we aim to prepare our children to make a positive difference in the world.

Our Mission

Our Mission statement underpins every aspect of day-to-day life in our school community. We aim to be a living, loving and faithful community which is inspired by the life of Christ and the teachings of the Church, rooted in Gospel values.  To help achieve these aims, our school offers a happy, safe and welcoming atmosphere where every child is loved, valued and encouraged on their journey through life.

Our Ethos

At St Peter's Catholic Primary School, Christ is at the heart of everything we do. Guided by our Catholic faith and Gospel values, we provide a caring and inclusive environment where every child is known, valued and supported to flourish.

We believe that each child is uniquely created in the image of God and encourage them to develop their gifts, talents and character. Through prayer, worship and daily life, we nurture faith, foster positive relationships and inspire children to act with kindness, compassion, respect and service to others.

Working in partnership with families, our parish and the wider community, we strive to provide an education that nurtures the academic, spiritual, social and emotional development of every child, enabling them to live, learn and grow in God's love.

Our School Values

At St Peter's, our values are at the heart of our school community and guide the way we live, learn and grow together. Rooted in our Catholic faith and inspired by the teachings of Jesus, they help us to build positive relationships, make wise choices and become the people God calls us to be.

  • Service: We follow the example of Jesus by serving others with kindness, generosity and compassion, using our gifts to make a positive difference.
  • Tolerance: We value and celebrate diversity, treating everyone with understanding, fairness and acceptance, regardless of our differences.
  • Peace: We work together to create a calm, caring and harmonious environment where conflicts are resolved through forgiveness, understanding and love.
  • Endurance: We show resilience and determination when faced with challenges, trusting in God and striving to do our best in all that we do.
  • Truth: We act with honesty and integrity, taking responsibility for our actions and speaking the truth with kindness and respect.
  • Enjoyment: We celebrate the joy of learning, achievement and friendship, recognising and appreciating the many blessings in our lives.
  • Respect: We treat ourselves, others and the world around us with dignity, courtesy and care, recognising that every person is created in the image of God.

Together, these values help us to create a welcoming, faith-filled community where everyone is encouraged to flourish and live out our mission each day.
