St Peter's Catholic

Primary School

"Loved by Jesus, we love, we learn, we live and grow together for Him"

Who We Are

Mrs Lisa Murphy

I have had the privilege of serving St Peter's school as a governor/SSC member since 2015, and I am so proud to be part of this school family! I became a governor as I wanted to use the skills and experience in finance, HR, charity governance and project management that I have gained from working in the charity sector to give back to the local community.

I applied to serve at St Peter's in particular, as our school vision and values align with my own as a practicing Catholic, and it is important to me to be able to live out my faith through my work and volunteering roles. I have been a parishioner at St Peter's church since 2010 and I am involved in the Welcome and Music ministries, as well as supporting children and their families as they prepare to receive the sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, playing guitar, crochet and building Lego creations with my two sons.

Mrs Pam Williams

I have been a Foundation Governor since December 2023, having previously been a Foundation Governor for 14 years, during the time when my children attended St Peter’s.

Now my grandchildren are following in their footsteps, and I am delighted to be able to represent the diocese again. I have lived in Bartley Green for over 50 years and appreciate the work that the School undertakes within the local community.
I hope to be able to support the School in continuing to offer an outstanding education in a nurturing environment.

Mr David Tooth

Hello, my name is David Tooth, and I am a Foundation Governor at St Peter's school. I have been a governor at this wonderful institution since 1994, and I am honoured to continue serving the school and community in this capacity for the 2024-2028 term.

In my professional life, I am a retired construction manager, and my strength lies in financial control. I believe this experience has equipped me well to provide valuable oversight and guidance to the school's financial management and building projects. Over the years, I have had the privilege of leading various building initiatives at St Peter's, ensuring that our facilities remain well-maintained and fit for purpose.

On a personal note, I have five grown-up children who have all found great success in their chosen careers, and I am the proud grandparent of twelve grandchildren. I live locally in Bartley Green and am deeply committed to supporting both the school and the parish. In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and being an active member of the community.

As a governor, I currently hold the responsibilities of Pupil Premium and Vice Chair of the School Standards Committee. I am passionate about ensuring that all our pupils receive the support and resources they need to thrive, and I am committed to working alongside the school's leadership team to maintain and enhance the high standards that St Peter's is known for.

I chose to become involved in school governance because I believe in the power of education to transform lives. It is my sincere desire to contribute to the continued success and well-being of the pupils, staff, and the entire St Peter's community. I look forward to working closely with all stakeholders to support the school's vision and make a positive difference in the lives of our young people.

Mrs Sarah O'Boyle

I am one of the two Parent Governors for St Peter's Catholic Primary School and have been a parent governor for just over 3 years. As a parent governor and practising Catholic, as well as being a former pupil, I am very proud of the staff and children at St Peter's and the amazing  work that they do.  St Peter's grow children who are committed to their faith as Catholics, endeavouring to live out the beliefs and values they are taught  in order to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. It is a delight to work with staff, as a governor,  and see how they have the highest expectations and aspirations for all the children in the school; both academically and spiritually.

I am an experienced governor; I first became a governor in 2005 at Rood End Primary School in Sandwell, where I was Deputy Head Teacher at the time. I have been a teacher since 1994 and have been lucky enough to have worked at 7 primary schools in Sandwell.  I became a Head Teacher in 2012 at Galton Valley Primary School, Sandwell.  As a parent governor, I represent the parents of St Peter's, providing both challenge and support for the head teacher and the leadership team.  It is both an honour and privlege to be in this role,  where I can use my background in education to work with the rest of the governors to strengthen our already Outstanding school.

Miss Louise Anderson

I am the staff governor at St Peter’s School. I have worked at St Peter’s for over 25 years now. I started as a teaching assistant and progressed to be a HLTA. I am very involved with sport at St Peter’s and organise many tournaments with local schools as well as Catholic schools in our MAC.

I also run the PTA which raises money for our children as well as teaching maths to Upper Key Stage 2. I attended St Peter’s as a child as did my eldest daughter who is now Assistant Head at St Peter’s so the school is very special to me.

Mr Oto-Obong (Oto) Idiong

I am Foundation Governor at St. Peter's School, having joined in April 2024. He is honoured to serve both the school and its community. Professionally, he began his career as a class teacher with the Catholic Education Board in the Archdiocese of Calabar, Nigeria, and later gained expertise in managing receivables and risk. He currently works as a Senior Credit Controller for a Housing Association, overseeing the East region and Northwest London.

I live locally in Bartley Green with his two children and is committed to supporting the school, parish, and local community. He is passionate about ensuring that all pupils receive the necessary resources to succeed and works closely with the school's leadership to uphold high standards. His motivation for becoming a governor stems from his desire to create a better environment for children to thrive and achieve success.

Mrs Suzan O'Meally

I retired in 2021 after sixteen years as headteacher of Our Lady and St Rose of Lima Catholic Primary and Nursery School. In this role I had the privilege of leading the school through several Ofsted and Diocese Inspections. Our latest Section 48 RE Inspection overall effectiveness was judged to be Outstanding.

I have served in the role of Foundation Governor at English Martyrs Catholic Primary School in Spark Hill, and here at St Peter’s Catholic Primary School, over a number of years, supporting both schools through strong Ofsted and Diocese inspection outcomes of both Good and Outstanding.

I count it as a great privilege to serve and support St Peter’s Catholic Primary School, and its vibrant community, in this role.
