At St Peter's, every class is named after a saint who inspires us to live out our faith each day. Our class saints provide wonderful examples of courage, kindness, service and trust in God. Throughout the year, children learn about the lives of their class saint, celebrate their feast day and reflect on how they can follow their example in school, at home and in the wider community.

Reception Class

St Thérèse of Lisieux (The Little Flower) 

St Thérèse taught us that even the smallest acts of kindness can show God's love. She believed that everyone can become a saint by doing ordinary things with great love and care.

Year 1

Blessed Carlo Acutis 

Carlo Acutis was a modern teenager who used technology to share his faith with others. He reminds us that holiness is possible for young people today and encourages us to use our gifts for good.

Year 2

St Francis of Assisi 

St Francis is known for his love of God's creation and his care for the poor. He teaches us to show kindness to all people, animals and the world around us.

Year 3

St Teresa of Calcutta (Mother Teresa) 

Mother Teresa dedicated her life to helping those who were poor, sick and lonely. She inspires us to serve others with love, compassion and humility.

Year 4

St John Henry Newman 

St John Henry Newman was a great teacher, writer and thinker. He encourages us to love learning, seek the truth and follow God's call in our lives.

Year 5

St Oscar Romero 

Archbishop Oscar Romero courageously stood up for justice and spoke out for those who had no voice. He inspires us to be brave, stand up for what is right and care for others.

Year 6

St Chad 

St Chad was a missionary bishop who helped spread Christianity throughout the Midlands. He teaches us the importance of service, leadership and faithfulness to God.
