Writing at St Peter's
At St Peter's we follow the St Peter's Writing Journey designed by the English lead alongside researched based evidence and staff input. We believe our journey meets the needs of our children and learners and is designed to ensure they revisit learning and embed the skills into their long term memory.
Below is the journey of learning our English lessons take over a 3 week period (genre depending).
Skills
Ensuring skills are mapped out across the school is vital to our planning and progression of learning. Each class has an in depth understanding of the skills for their year group, alongside the expectations of the outcomes of each child as writer.
